The location of Southbay Holiday Park is a coastal and countryside area which may prove to be a lower risk than some more densely populated areas. All of our caravans are self contained with their own entrances, kitchen, bathrooms and decks and are thoroughly cleaned prior to arrival with commercial cleaning sanitising products.

Will static caravan holiday’s be the same as before the pandemic?

The answer to this question is NO. As lock down slowly evolves and restrictions loosen things may slowly return to normal but in the meantime your holiday will be different.

What to expect:

The site.

Most if not all the communal areas will be closed including the swimming pools. It is expected the onsite shop and clubhouse will be open (using social distancing methods of course).

Our Caravans

When you arrive at South bay you should go directly to your caravan Directions are provided in the booklet sent to you when you booked. Your keys have been sanitised and are stored in a sanitised key safe. The code for the key safe is contained on your paid invoice.

Due to the guidance issued all non essential items have been removed from the caravan this includes and not limited to all soft furnishing including cushions, ornaments, books games etc. A hand sanitise machine has been installed in each of our caravans. We would ask our guests to use these machines each and every time they return to the caravan

All soft and hard surfaces have been sanitised for your safety.

All surfaces including and not limited the following have been sanitised All:

  • Door handles
  • light switches
  • TV’s
  • Hi-FI and Remote control
  • TV remote controls
  • kitchen appliances
  • plug casings
  • kitchen worktops, handles, taps, etc
  • thermostats
  • light switches
  • Bedroom remote controls
  • hand rails and deck furniture
  • floors
  • window sills and handles
  • hand rails
  • tables
  • chairs
  • bins
  • kitchen and bathroom walls
  • coat hangers
  • bathroom sanitary fittings
  • bathroom surfaces
  • taps, handles, shower doors etc. 
  • cupboards, wardrobes
  • All crockery, pans and cutlery etc. supplied with the accommodation have been cleaned in a dishwasher at a high temperature.
  • We also fog the whole caravan with industry standard equipment to sanitise walls, floors and carpets etc.

What we expect from you

All we ask is 3 things. 1. That you open a window at either end of the caravan when you leave for home. and 2. That you strip the beds and place the bedding in to a bag that will be provided and place that bag on the deck. and last but not least that you have a really good holiday!

Our staff have received guidance in relation to keeping our guests as safe and secure as possible during the Coronavirus situation.

We would ask all our guests to take the following sensible Government Advice:

Washing hands regularly for at least 20 seconds using soap and water or hand sanitiser.

Maintain good hygiene practices such as using tissues when coughing or sneezing and disposing of the tissue in a bin.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

With the quickly evolving situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) we have changed our terms and conditions of booking for the foreseeable future.

 Booking Deposit.

Should you have to cancel on the advice of a doctor or directive from government body we will if you are:

A returning customer offer you a full refund or we will hold your deposit to use for a future booking within 12 months.

A first time booking customer we will not refund your deposit but hold your deposit for use for a future booking within 12 months

Balance payments.

If you have paid in full for your booking we will if you are:

A returning customer: offer you a full refund or we will hold your balance to use for a future booking within 12 months

If you are a first time booking customer: we will not refund your balance but hold your balance for use for a future booking within 12 months.

If the site is closed under advise from a Government department whilst you are on holiday we will be guided by the sites management team.

We will contact you directly should this occur and work with you to plan what actions to take.

Please be assured your money is safe with us and we will try and accommodate any reasonable requests.

We all will need a holiday when this situation ends!
